SUPER simple recipe. Vegan, gluten-free, dairy free, organic AND yumtastic. Recipe inspired from @Detoxinista. Only 10 minutes to make.
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 2 cups naturally low fat organic coconut flakes *
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup raw cacao powder
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
*The coconut flakes are dried and dehydrated which is why they have 40% less fat than normal coconut. I've made it with normal coconut flakes and it's even yummier- so make it however your heart desires!
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir evenly. Then roll them into little balls and place in the fridge or freezer for an hour.
Prep time: about 10-15 minutes
- Makes 50 little macaroons (I make mine mini)
- Macros per macaroon (low fat coconut): 25 cals, 3.25 carb, 0.54 fiber, 1.28 fat, 0.54 protein
